Zack's heart redux: Jenova flavored

[START: Conference & Missions Rooms]
The entire room and the next one over are destroyed. Beneath your feet crunches glass and other debris from the destruction, as well as a strange, dark green and red rust. It flakes easily as you step, covering the floor, climbing up the walls to nearly the ceiling - it's everywhere, and with the lights flickering the way they are, it gives the room an eerie, greenish tint.
The large computer to the right is pulled half-off the wall with the screen shattered, and the large table situated beneath it is knocked askew and broken in places. The computer below that controls the large screen is sparking here and there, malfunctioning. The computer screen flickers on and off, and you can make out the words "DANGER: INFILTRATION IN PROGRESS" blinking in big, red letters.
The glass separating this room from the other has been completely shattered, and the door hangs off it's hinges. There's a smaller computer in this room, hanging off it's stand by mere wires, flickering with power, though the screen isn't as damaged as the larger one. The only thing undamaged in this room are the pods against the far wall, though one appears to have been forced open.
There's one last door leading out of both rooms, half-forced open. You can see red lights flashing in the hallway, but beyond that it's dark.
In your hand is a PHS, a type of cell phone, and instinctively know how to use it. At the moment, however, it will not work]

[you find yourself at the entrance to a quaint little village in the mountains. A quaint little village on fire.
The smell of burnt wood and flesh fills the air, and you can see scattered bodies everywhere - though thankfully . . . no one you recognize.
However despite the fire, everything seems to have a strange, green tint to it. It sets every single instinct you have on edge, telling you this area is dangerous, that you shouldn’t be here - that whatever is here is *wrong*.
Up ahead past the burning buildings, you see two paths - one leading west, and one leading east]

Instead you find yourself at the entrance of a small village left in ruins. The huts that once stood here are all destroyed, their ceilings caving in, walls crumbling. The reddish-green rust covers everything; a faint breeze blows through, sending flakes fluttering everywhere.
There’s no blood anywhere, thankfully, but you don’t see a single person anywhere.]

The reactor isn’t as menacing as the path leading up to it. It stands there humming with power, the two large doors in the front wide open, welcoming you.
And you’d feel welcome, too, if it weren’t for that pesky feeling of something being *very wrong* here. It makes your stomach twist and sets every survival instinct you have on edge]

There are bodies everywhere. People you know, people you’ve seen at games - all dead, or dying, their blood soaking the grass and splattered all over the mutant fruit tree. The Buster Sword stands in the middle of them, stuck in the ground and dripping with blood and . . . strange glowing green liquid?
The rust here looks as though someone’s tried to clean it up, especially the closer it stretches in the direction of the Sterling cave, but either there was too much or they just . . . stopped.]
