... I think I'm making this out to sound worse than it really is.

I just had him join an organization I was a part of back home. I was going to have him leave once we finished in there.

... That's oddly specific and nonspecific. Why the necessity?

I wouldn't have been any use inside Zack's heart otherwise. Unless I could defeat Jenova by tripping over it.

Ah. This is related to how you need Onyx around, isn't it?

Haah, yeah. I couldn't have him join Onyx, so I asked him to join Cavallone instead.

Cavallone, huh. Cavallone is your old organization... and you have to be in an organization to keep yourself together.

That's the way my body works, anyway. I think it got trained into me.

Well, if you haven't somehow noticed, I'm pretty naturally klutzy... but when I'm around I'm driven to protect and care for- specifically Cavallone or Onyx now- my body just... ignores its limitations.

... That's what my guess is anyway.

I know it's pretty weird, but that's what I've pieced together from my memories and working things out here. So I asked Dawn to join Cavallone for a while so I wouldn't have to worry about putting him in danger.

It's not like I can't understand having a troublesome physical setback in reaction to the people around me. I'm glad you found a positive way to overcome it.

-Well, nevermind for now, I guess I can ask you later when Zack doesn't look like he could use another nap. I'll talk with Dawn about it though and give him the offer to leave if he likes.

I'm still learning about Cavallone specifically, but the general impression I got from the overall organization is that it's not a very good one...

Well, it's not that Dawn doesn't jump into things without fully understanding them. And if you were a tricky, untrustworthy character luring him into being involved with criminals, you'd probably succeed, since he thinks you're a good guy.

Haah, maybe I'll just talk with him again about leaving after all...

The thing is, you're sitting here feeling guilty and responsible for bringing him in with a group that's not here besides you. And even if Dawn is still naive in a lot of ways, I just can't see you hurting him.

I'm sure it's more that he doesn't mind being associated with you, Chariot, and you're the only relevant Cavallone here. He helped you out, so instead of worrying about it, why don't you just be grateful? You already did it, so if you're worried about being responsible, just be responsible.
