You should come ruffle him more some time. Ed's edging into the realm of friendly contact is okay, not embarrassing or someone treating him like a kid. But Zack is cool and Ed wants to hang out more often with him, just that he tends to get caught up in his own head so he doesn't always get around to that.

NGL I THOUGHT THEIR RELATIONSHIP WOULD BE SOMETHING ALONG THE LINES OF Isa linefaces, Zack drapes on and generally makes a nuisance of himself, etc, etc.

But like, I don't know HOW, but Isa kind of became someone Zack really cares about really fast! And just. A lot of it is Isa asking him for help, writing him that letter, and just. Being Isa at him. And they DO get along, and Zack doesn't . . . initially feel the need to just be a friendly pestering guy at him, but just a friend instead.

But going to the NO HEART THING Zack just. Doesn't believe it. He has seen Isa have way too many feelings for that to just be memories, and no matter what you say to him he just won't believe it. He thinks it's DUMB and he really wants to like, prove Isa wrong and be like YES YOU HAVE FEELINGS if you didn't and if it was just am memory it wouldn't seem as real as it does, etc.

Speaking of no heart, him giving it up in the game was mostly Isa. He wanted to know what it was like. '-' And y'know, with that JENOVA PUSH he did it and . . . wow. Zack Fair is not someone who can exist without feelings and it was just . . . flooring. And had Jenovaing not happened, he would've disappeared to his room to just. Idk. And then find Isa and apologize forever.

So the thing about Isa and relationships with other people is that he doesn't realize he has them 90% of the time. Like. If questioned about it, Isa would say that Zack's his temporary teacher and otherwise an okay guy. Nothing more! He wouldn't even say they're friends because he thinks that's one-sided (Zack to him, not him to Zack). In truth, Isa was in sort of a desperate and precarious position when he arrived, and he didn't want to ask anyone for help for anything if he could help it. Unfortunately, he's painfully aware of just how helpless he is and it frustrates him so much that he was willing to let go of his pride and ask Zack to show him how to use a sword just so he could have a feel for defending himself. Isa placated himself by thinking, "Well, I'll get good training and another idiot draping on me, I can deal with that", only no, he's actually enjoying their sessions and doesn't mind Zack being Zack and probably Isa has a hidden reservoir of dere for people who remind him of Lea that he's just steadfastly ignoring...

BUT THEN. Okay, so, identity is a Big Deal for Isa, and I think for Nobodies in general. Because they don't have Hearts, because they're not supposed to exist, it is literally their will of self that's keeping them alive. Isa has only a handful of memories so far, most of them painful and confusing, but he's attached so much to them because they're his only source for who he is, and without that knowledge his existence would be so much shakier. Like, I'm not 100% sure Isa is aware that his starting skill is the ability to keep himself held together. So anything that he can remember about himself, about Nobodies, is so important to him. And so when Zack says that he has a Heart, it--throws Isa for a loop! And then it pisses him off, because dude. I'm the one in charge of my identity, I get to decide whether or not I have feelings. You don't. Stop acting like you know my inner workings when we're not even that close. (Yet) x>:| For the most part, he brushes it off and rolls his eyes because WHATEVER idiots will be idiots let's swordfight and I can pretend not to like you.

Right now Isa is mad. Because he interpreted Zack's decision to give up his heart as a totally flimsy mocking way to tell Isa he knows Isa's lack-of-a-heart-problem better than Isa does. AND THAT JUST. FUCK YOU!!! To Isa, it feels like Zack is making fun of him, like Zack is saying his problems aren't real, that they're arbitrary and oh look I can lose my heart too hahahahaha! So right now Isa is just so bitter, but what really ticks him off is that he is having feelings over Zack losing his heart god what is even going on I need to stop hanging around idiots they are rubbing off on me.

Probably he'll cool off once Zack's sleep is over, but he might just. stew in his own bitterness and pretend he's not actually feeling anything and it'll just get worse. x:'D ngl he was two seconds away from leaving Zack's SOLDIER sword up against his door, but then decided it wasn't worth giving up that opportunity. I have Naoto Shirogane in the queue right now and I am SUPER EXCITED FOR HER. I don't plan on playing more than two characters in Aather at the moment because of how much of a time sink it is, but I do have an unfinished app for Delita Heiral on my desktop... >_>

Other than that, I don't have anything concrete, but I do idly contemplate other ways to app/play characters in Aather. I've thought about a lot of my past/present characters at CFUD, such as Maora from Shinshi Doumei Cross/Gentlemen's Alliance, Claire Stanfield from Baccano!, and Gale from Digital Devil Saga... as well as characters I'd love to play but would be too intimidated to do so, like Abed from Community. 9_9

Zack loves Sharon '-' Oh no she just. EVERY TIME THEY TALK he ends up walking a way loving her more. She is just. Someone he doesn't really talk to often (because the player fails orz) but it's not something that goes away either? HE IS SO FOND OF HER. And it's not even because she's Break's master or whatever, it's because Sharon is this wonderful, sweet person that Zack just. Adores forever. '-'

And being in her heart was amazing, and he seriously enjoyed himself. It was also full of FEELINGS but he got to see Sharon's true heart and meet her mom, and ♥ He had a blast and is glad he didn't do anything wrong.

Trying to separate himself from CARING AS MUCH AS HE DOES and trying to push himself into a more canon line of thinking where he can CARE but not too much because they'll leave \o/ And Hakkai coming back and whatnot just kind of messed with it more.

Mitsuru arrived in Aather with very strong TEAM feelings, and her first memory fortified that because it showed her that she worked on a team back at home. So in general, Mitsuru is very team oriented, and although she is new she cares for Citrine and wants to see them excel and be cohesive together and not be hurt in games!

SUNNY IS A PART OF THAT, although she doesn't quite feel like she's clicked with him as she has with other members. She does kind of get the feeling he's trying to keep his distance, and that makes her feel a bit awkward at times since she's generally pretty bad at socializing and getting to know people. But he's Citrine, and he's strong-willed and courageous and loyal (as she believes the entire team is), and she would definitely like to get to know him more.

How has Goku changed/developed from his first days in Aather?

Oh god yes. He is - and always will be - super dependent on Citrine. But in the beginning that's what it was - this SUPER dependency on Citrine because they were so stable and he loved all of them.

And then people started leaving - Silver and Blaze and recently Turn - which has triggered the whole canon mindset with caring about people. He's also been growing in general - a little more independent, less dependent . . . it's more interdependent when it comes to Citrine right now? He needs them, but he . . . can exist, in a sense, without them.

I think the biggest change tho is that with the ikkou being gone for so long ICly he . . . is okay with being alone. Or starting to be. AND THEN HAKKAI MESSED IT UP. So it's really hard to say until all his feeling settle on that but.

BASICALLY HE'S GROWING INTO BEING MORE INTERDEPENDENT THEN DEPENDENT

What do you look forward to with Mitsuru?

Everythiiiing. She is like the exact opposite of Kaito in a million ways so she fills a lot of voids that he doesn't! She's more rule oriented, more firm and strict, more formal and more likely to open up to people she cares about. Plus, she's a fighter, and I think I especially look forward to her earning back her fighting skills so I can throw her into some monster posts. Beyond that, nothing really specific beyond playing her! I love her on Citrine so far, too |Da

Oh god uh. NOT THAT MANY ONCE HE REALLY STARTED IN SOLDIER . . . part of my head canon is that one of his first times was an older woman who thought he was cute and took him back to her place and '-'

UH IN GENERAL THO HE ONLY WOULD SUCCEED CUZ HE IS KIND OF FAIL but in that cute puppy way. So they'd think he was sooo cute awww he's trying so hard and he'd land a date anyway, but he never had any REAL relationships cuz he was always out on missions or training or whatever.

And then he met Aeris and he'd just flirt a lot, but he was LOYAL to her despite . . . y'know, flirting with Cissnei sometimes.

When she was writing letters she stayed single. Maybe flirted but never went home with anyone. When she stopped writing letters she did try dating again! She even got semi-serious probably. But it wasn't really love and then Cloud and stuff and then she died. Wheee . . . .e . . .eeee. . . .
