Memory #18: "I'm the proof you existed." [ACC] (Trivial Positive)
What He Remembered:
This is a through-the-Lifestream memory of what's going on in Advent Children Complete. From this memory, Zack definitely gets the impression of being dead for a while - years, from how Cloud's changed from end-CC to then. So a few important points that stick out in regards to Zack:
- The Buster Sword and the cliffside.
- "Showing up" near the end of the Cloud and Sephiroth fight.
- Cloud "dying" and Aeris and Zack kicking him out:
- The last scene in the church, Zack standing in the doorway and Aeris playing with the children, then leaving with him. Aeris saying "Everything's fine now, right?"
- The VERY last scene with the flowers growing on the cliffside where he died and the Buster Sword being moved to Aeris' church, surrounded by flowers.
What This Means:
- ALL THE SUPER PROUD, SUPER FOND FEELINGS FOR CLOUD. ALL OF THEM.
+100 Acceptance of him and Aeris being dead +100 feelings for Aeris, my girlfriend is awesome
- Understanding of the ACC plot, Geostigma, the remnants, etc. (Familiarity with Reno, Rude, and Rufus)
- Vagueish understanding of the Lifestream, Aeris' connection to it, etc.
- +50 Sephiroth feelings why won't he just fuck off already.
If there is one thing in Aather that Zack wants the most, it's to know how Cloud's doing - and this memory answers that! Cloud obviously has had a rough time - this memory doesn't give him any of FFVII's plot but it does show that Cloud still isn't over his or Aeris' death. But he saves the world (again) and is okay and that is what's important to Zack - that he's alive and that he's still going, even if things get a little rough.
So yeah, for Zack, there won't be any bittersweet feelings coming from this memory. He's dead, he's been dead, and he's very, very okay with that. This will transfer into Aather as helping Zack settle with it too - not that he regretted it or anything, but he was still a little 8( over it and not as open about it as he would be. This memory will change all that, and he'll be very okay with admitting to it now.
Notes: Game 60, little bottles of perfume with caps in your team color. You can huff them as many times as you want, but over time the smell and memory will fade until nothing is left. YOU CAN 'SMELL' like bits of your memory if you wish to inflict this on other people and are wearing your memory. So like FRAGMENTS OF MEMORY or "smells like home" or whatever. You can only have the full memory experience if you huff it out of the bottle though.

Zack: If it were me, I wouldn't be throwing in the towel yet! No matter how hopeless the situation seemed. Embrace your dreams! And never, ever let go of your pride as a SOLDIER. Well, you didn't get to become SOLDIER. But it's a matter of heart, anyway!
Cloud: Zack...
Zack: Need me to lend a hand?
[Cloud shakes his head and stands]
Zack: You kicked his ass once, right? It's a piece of cake!
Cloud: Right...
Zack: Don't forget.
Cloud: ... I'm the proof you once existed.
